Partners in Health and Wholeness is inviting clergy and congregants to participate in the legislative process through strong health advocacy at the national, state and local levels. We recognize that changes in individual health behaviors (e.g., increased physical activity, healthier eating habits and tobacco cessation) can reduce one's risk for a number of health problems, but real systemic change happens at the policy level – where the potential to affect a greater number of lives is realized.
As a person of faith, you are encouraged to learn more about issues that matter to you and to take action by writing and/or calling your representatives, submitting Op-Ed's and Letters to the Editor, and attending community events.
